New BISHOUJO Series Items Revealed: STREET FIGHTER and Darkstalkers

To commemorate the Osaka edition of the “Shunya Yamashita Exhibition: 15th Anniversary of the BISHOUJO Series,” two new 88Graph pieces will be released on the EDITION88 online store starting at 11:00 AM (JST) on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.　(International shipping available)

Shunya Yamashita brings to life Hsien-Ko, the young girl who became a Darkstalker through forbidden magic to save her mother’s soul, trapped in darkness after sacrificing herself to protect her daughters.

This 88Graph uses silver vapor-deposited aluminum paper with a glossy finish as its base. The fine, textured surface gives the print a refined, premium shine that enhances the charm of Hsien-Ko’s illustration.

The third STREET FIGHTER BISHOUJO piece illustrated by Shunya Yamashita features the fierce and provocative Juri. Her daring expression and dynamic pose are amplified by the shimmering silver aluminum base, giving the piece a bold and striking presence.

88Graph is a method of artistic expression utilizing a mixed printmaking technique originally developed by EDITION88 studio.

88Graph can be applied not only to papers but also to a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, acrylic, ceramics, glass, etc.

The main techniques utilized include giclée, silkscreen, UV printing, foil stamping, embossing, etc., as well as hand painting and hand spraying by EDITION88's artisans, and we pursue highly original expression by combining these multiple techniques.
