Mutsumi Inomata Retrospective – A Tribute to Her Legacy
Renowned for her extraordinary draftsmanship and richly imaginative worlds, Mutsumi Inomata has captivated fans across generations.
This December, we are proud to present the first large-scale retrospective of Inomata’s work since her passing:
"Mutsumi Inomata Retrospective" will be held at Marui City Yokohama from December 5 (Fri) to December 28 (Sun), 2025.
■ Exhibition Highlights
Over 120 original analog illustrations spanning her career will be on display—including works from anime, novels, video games, and her own original creations.
This exhibition focuses solely on her traditional, hand-painted works on Arches paper, offering a rare opportunity to experience the vibrant colors, delicate brushwork, and dynamic lines of her original art—qualities that simply cannot be replicated in printed media.
Notably, a complete set of original manga pages from the 1980s will be exhibited publicly for the first time, along with never-before-seen unpublished illustrations and archival materials discovered after her passing.
