Kazuhiko Shimamoto
Born on April 26, 1961, in Hokkaido, Kazuhiko Shimamoto made his debut in 1982 while still in college with Hissatsu no Tenkōsei in the February extra issue of Weekly Shōnen Sunday. His well-known works include Honō no Tenkōsei, Nine in Adversity, Moeyo Pen, Hoero Pen, Anime Tenchou, and Aoi Honoo. For Aoi Honoo, he won the 60th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category and the Excellence Award in the manga division at the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival Awards.
He has also designed monsters for Kamen Rider Ghost and characters of The Outsider, the futuristic version of Live A Live.
