I wanted to create a painting that feels as if you can hear Utsumi’s hearty laughter.
The dragon in the background was inspired by his Chinese heritage.
I wanted to differentiate its style from the figure in the foreground, so I drew them separately and then combined them.

The original artwork for this piece is actually not a single illustration. The background and the characters were drawn separately, resulting in two original pieces.

This 88Graph was created by combining these two originals into a single composition.
