I believe this illustration was originally drawn for the opening page of my third art book.
I’ve depicted Shana in sword-fighting poses many times, but for this piece, I wanted to try a new composition where the hilt is thrust forward — and this was the result.

This 88Graph (Platinum Edition) uses a special pearl-finish paper. By deliberately preserving the paper’s natural texture and separating the highlights of Shana’s eyes from the background, the piece gains a striking sense of depth.
