This was released as an OVA in 1987.In order to save boys and girls from Uraer, an evil cult group that has nested in the school, the main character Hikaru Shihōdō puts on the Fighting Spirits Suit and becomes Hikaruon to fight against Uraer 's demon beasts.
This is Kazuhiro Ochi's first film as a director. He also wrote the screenplay, designed the characters, directed the animation, and wrote the lyrics of the theme song.
