This piece was inspired by Tokyo Genso’s awe at the view from Shibuya’s MIYASHITA PARK. Among Shibuya’s rapidly redeveloping landscape, the retro charm of Nonbei Yokocho—a narrow alleyway reminiscent of post-war Japan—still remains. Born from the black markets after the war, this area continues to captivate countless "nonbei" (drinkers) with its timeless appeal.

In this artwork, Nonbei Yokocho is depicted as fully submerged in water and shrouded in dim light, resembling nighttime. Yet, the scene is brimming with life, illuminated by countless glowing lights. Even in a ruined world, the piece conveys a sense of human warmth and hope.

During the creation of the 88Graph, we focused on faithfully replicating the beautiful orange glow of the lights, ensuring their vibrancy and impact.
