Shinjuku Station, the subcenter of Tokyo, famous for having the largest number of passengers in the real world, is surrounded by silence in Tokyo Genso World. The asphalt on Koshu highway, which runs in front of the south exit of Shinjuku Station, has been completely ripped up, the cars that once ran underground are submerged under water, and dolphins, rays, and fish are swimming freely.

Tokyo Genso once said in an interview.

“The dolphins appearing in my later works were inspired by this piece.”

“I intended to express the world beneath the ground, and I think this piece succeeds in doing so.
I think I was able to express something that we don't notice, or rather, something that we wouldn't notice if we were living a normal life.”

It is no exaggeration to say that this work, which also appeared on the cover of "Tokyo Genso Artworks," is one of Tokyo Genso's masterpieces.
