Haruhi Suzumiya is a Japanese light novel series written by Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrated by Noizi Ito.
Published in 2003 by Kadokawa Shoten as "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," this popular light novel series has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

From the perspective of Kyon, a self-proclaimed very ordinary high school boy, the story depicts various "extraordinary in the ordinary", centering on activities in the "SOS Brigade", an organization led by an eccentric high school heroine, Haruhi Suzumiya.
